Compasses
Marbles Outdoors
Marble’s® brass body compasses are a 100-year-old tradition with hunters, campers, hikers, and explorers worldwide. Our skilled craftsmen and women know your life can depend on how well these compasses function. Each component of our compass is CNC precision machined from solid hi-grade brass bar stock. Every one fits together exactly with no defects that could cause any inaccuracies in readings. The brass casing is strong, malleable, and won’t rust. It is much stronger than injection molded plastic. The movement rotates on an ultra-smooth agate jewel bearing and our crystal is virtually shatterproof. The quality of our Marble’s® Compass has been time-proven. Marble’s® Compasses have been used by Admiral Byrd, Admiral Perry, Charles Lindberg, and Teddy Roosevelt. Byrd and Perry both used Marble’s® compasses on their North and South Pole expeditions. Our compasses were routinely pinned on G.I. bomber and flight jackets in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Most of our turn-of-the-century compasses are still in service today. There are very few items that can make that claim. Our compasses are available in two styles. The pocket version has a handy swivel ring that allows the user to attach a lanyard for easy carrying. The pin-on version uses a large brass safety pin to fasten securely to your jacket or shirt. There are two compass faces. The solid white face has a revolving needle. The revolving black and silver face has a luminous dot at the North position. Take the gamble out of your next wilderness trek—carry a Marble’s® Compass
