Designed to be a small to mid-sized every day utility folder, the Scallion is ready for your daily work tasks, just like every other Kershaw offering. The drop point, 420 High Carbon Steel blade features a slight recurve, giving that extra bit of slicing ability during the draw cut, while opening is a breeze by using either the thumbstuds or dual purpose "flicker" that becomes a finger guard in the open position. The big brother to the wildly popular Chive, the Scallion measures slightly longer at 6 inches overall. Don't think that this larger size comes with a severe weight penalty though - the Scallion only weighs 2.4 ounces, thanks to the double Aluminum handle scales (which have been pebbled for a smooth yet textured grip). The flat Aluminum construction, both slims down the overall width, while lightening the weight. The scales are available in 3 colors: Red, Blue, Green. Opening is a breeze as well - use either the double thumbstuds, or the integral flipper which doubles as a blade guard when the knife is open. Don't want the knife to open? No problem, just slide the cleverly designed safety switch over the tip of the blade, locking it in place! A removable steel pocket clip is included with each knife.
