Archie's Custom Small Bowie If it is a true Archie Custom knife it will have the fish symbol and an A in the middle of it. All of Archie's knives are different, no two exactly alike. This knife you are admiring is one of a kind crafted in East Texas. Each knife's blade is made from 1095 high carbon steel or Leitz German carbon steel or similar metals known for holding an edge. Each Handle is crafted of polished white tail horn, axis horn, and wood from Belize, Central America or Iron Wood. No varnish is ever used on an Archie custom knife handle. The Craftsman responsible for this work of art is Archie Hulen from Canton TX. He has learned his craft from other masters in Tennessee and North Carolina. He still lives in Canton TX. Stabilized Ironwood handle, these handles can only be cut with a metal blade because of their hardness 1095 High carbon steel blade which leaf springs are made of.
